Worth a visit. All staff were super friendly it was refreshing. Great to go to a family run establishment which are hard to come by in London these days. Even the cook was shouting through the hatch asking us if we enjoyed our food! The interior of the cafe is charming. 5 stars.
Recommended by tripadvisor and boy did they get it right! Very packed and cozy the staff was SUPER attentive and kind. I was there solo and they sat me with people. Made me feel like I was a regular. I hope to come back !!
all fresh and tasted homemade! So much flavor in the sausage. Coffee was so tasty like it was made by somebody who knew what was doing. Got talking to a few of the staff all so welcoming and smiley despite being busy they all took time to speak to you and make you feel like regulars! Couldn’t recommend more.
Amazing experience 🙂🥰
An East End institution since 1900, Pellicci's is a family-run place I have known since I was a kid in the 1940s living a few minutes' walk away. My dad used to take me there when Nev senior ran it. Now living on the Kent coast for many years I try to visit it whenever I get the chance.
On the occasions I've been there it is always busy and is now run by Nev junior, his dad having passed away about 13 years ago. A traditional cafe with a strong Italian accent, small but with a great Art Decor interior of glass and marquetry, its homemade food makes it a delight to eat in but be prepared to sit in close proximity ( of course not in these pandemic times ) to other diners. Although this for me only adds to the charm of the place. I love their delicious home-cooked cannelloni, a dish for some reason not always on offer in Italian restaurants.
Just go when this pandemic is over and experience this unassuming yet special place and understand why over the years it has been frequented by Hollywood greats and British showbiz stars.
